Sketchout breaks out of the confines of the Museum with this exciting new outdoor course for the Summer of 2017.
We will be drawing and painting in Holland Park itself using watersoluble inktense pencils, pastels and water brushes to create full colour landscape paintings that buzz with depth and vitality. (See examples of the kind of paintings you could make at the bottom of this page. )
All materials apart from Sketchbooks will be provided but you will need bring your own folding stool to sit on. You can buy then cheaply online or borrow one from a friend for the day.
I reccomend a fairly low stool as your drawing materials will probably be on the ground and it’s helpful if this is an easy reach away.
It might also be a good idea to bring an umbrella just in case!NB if mainly rain is forecast for the day it will be cancelled but not if light showers are forecast as there are places with cover in the park. In the event that we cancel in advance due to bad weather you will be given a full refund or offered the choice of transferring to another course.
